Highlights of my life from 2007:
A particular xanga entry of mine achieved unexpected popularity. Soon after, I had my wisdom teeth removed. During the summer, I attended General Conference and represented my church as a delegate. I later quit my job with Arvato services. I went to Thailand for two weeks on a missions trip. Then I went to Japan for three weeks and visited my grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as a friend. I got new glasses. I went to my friend's wedding in Michigan. I started attending graduate school at UCLA to study statistics. I attended my cousin's wedding in Vegas.

Goals for 2007 revisited
Last year I set a few goals for myself. Here's how I did.

Make a career decision - Achieved
I decided to quit my job with Arvato Services and decided to study statistics at UCLA. I will pursue trying to become a statistics professor or lecturer, with the backup plan of returning to industry.

Design a website (sfvhc.org?) - Achieved
sfvhc.org has not been redesigned. Instead, I did manage to create a very basic site allowing students and staff members attending our annual Winter Vision retreat to register online.

travel outside the country (Japan?) - Achieved
I traveled to Japan and I traveled to Thailand.

meet with a friend from high school in person - Achieved
I intentionally met my friend Daniel on a few occasions. I also unintentionally ran into (in one case, literally) other high school friends.

meet with a friend from college in person - Achieved
I got in touch with my friend Paul from Caltech. He also goes to UCLA grad school.
I also went to my friends' Josh and Lisa's wedding in Michigan. I got to see them as well as many of my other friends from Kettering.

perform a non-card magic trick on the spot - kinda achieved
I did perform my rubber band magic trick for a few spectators. I did, however, write this goal with the intention of learning a new impromptu magic trick, which I did not do.

go on a date - Achieved
No details, but I did go on one date with a girl who was introduced to me by a friend.

go camping - Achieved
I went on the annual camping trip with the jr. high school youth group. I did not go camping by myself this year.

invite someone to church - Achieved, barely
I invited a friend to church, but she did not come. I did not follow up. I really suck.

buy and sell stock options - Failed
I sold stock options (covered calls), but did not purchase any.

drive somewhere so I have to fill the gas tank twice within a 24 hour period - Achieved
I was forced to fill up the gas tank twice during my trip to Vegas. I left the Los Angeles area with my aunt on a Saturday morning, attended the wedding, and returned from Vegas that evening.

read the OT in its entirety - Failed. Miserably.
I started the year reading a few chapters from the OT everyday, but somewhere along the way I stopped and never recovered.
